Interlaken Classics stands for quality, youth development and classical music experience at the highest level. The two young orchestra “European Union Youth Orchestra” and “Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra” in 2012 in turn inspire the hearts of classical music-lovers from near and far.

The Interlaken Classics in Switzerland are among the oldest festivals of classical music. Founded in 1960 and several decades known as the “Interlaken Music Festival Weeks” to focus the “Interlaken Classics” now consistently in the top of music newcomers. 2010, the festival celebrated its 50th Birthday. Also in 2012, the Interlaken Classics wait again, with a diverse and high-range.

Die Interlaken Classics gehören in der Schweiz zu den ältesten Festivals für klassische Musik. 1960 gegründet und mehrere Jahrzehnte bekannt als „Interlakner Musikfestwochen“, konzentrieren sich die „Interlaken Classics“ heute konsequent auf Spitzenmusik im Nachwuchsbereich. 2010 feierte das Festival seinen 50. Geburtstag. Auch im 2012 warten die Interlaken Classics wieder mit einem vielfältigen und hochstehenden Programm auf.

Transportation is not only a means of getting from place A to B.  Check out the various means of getting around and adventurous activities offered in the Jungfrau region.Our area is popular for hiking.  Unlike other places on the globe, most of our area is not privately owned and the prepared paths are endless with all levels of difficulty.  Mountain biking, road biking, Segways and flyers are ways to see the sights.  Directly above us the tandem paragliding, hang gliding and sky diving chutes colorfully decorate the blue sky. Want to travel with a ship? Wilderswil is situated between the Lake of Thun and Lake Brienz.  This is perfect activity for all ages. They offer evening cruises offering dinner and live music too.

Our train system provided by the sbb “Schweizerische Bundesbahnen” is a highly effective and punctual way to travel. You do not need a car as a tourist.  Once in the Jungfrau region the Jungfraubahn rail way system stretched to the Jungfraujoch. This is a ” must do” during your visit.

Pascal & Cindy personally recommend to take a scenic flight via helicopter past the Eiger North face.  Better than any theme park as you experience the birds eye view of the Swiss Alps. Absolutely stunning.
