Our Swiss Holiday House is a perfect base during your visit in Switzerland. It’s an approximately 2 hour train ride to either Geneva, Basel or Zurich airport and 45 minutes to our Countries Capital, Bern.
It takes you about 5 minutes to walk from Wilderswil train station to our house, the bus stop is even closer. You’ll be on a mountain in as little as 1 hour by train and at the two lakes in about 15 minutes by bus.
We have a parking space if you arrive by car, 2 parking spaces on request.
Wilderswil is located in the heart of the Jungfrau region in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Nestled at the foot of famous Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau 4158m/13,642ft., Schynige Platte, Schilthorn, and the Jungfraujoch -Top of Europe. Our immediate area offers rural charm, unspoiled nature and an almost inexhaustible range of excursions, hiking, skiing and sporting attractions. If you’re an outdoor person, this is your place to be.
The village is pretty small and has an approximate population of 2500 inhabitants. We have a bakery, cheese and milk store, bank, tourist information center, shopping center, post office, gas station, train station, food market, variety of restaurants and a local mill museum.
The historical 12th century Unspunnen castle ruins can be seen from your balcony and bedrooms.
Wilderswil is a great starting point for hiking paths & mountain biking trails .
Adventure Sports: Wilderswil is the landing field for Tandem Sky diving, paragliding and hang gliding. White water rafting and sport of canyoning as well as a challenging Ropes park is located here. Rock climbing enthusiasts have a big local climbing garden, with over 30 routes at all levels of difficulty. There’s also a Tennis, Badminton & Squash park. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are close by.
